The legend of Kondaa comes alive for teens and families

Walibi recently reopened its doors and celebrated the festive occasion with the launch of Kondaa, the highest, fastest, and most anticipated megacoaster in the Benelux. Digital agency Emakina created the communication that highlight this new key moment in the rich history of Belgium’s favorite theme park. The team imagined a rich story, that fascinates both families and young fun seekers, with cleverly integrated messages across different media, and in real life in Walibi’s brand new Exotic World.

Combining two key audiences

After creating a carefully crafted brand book, the team developed the Kondaa legend as the starting point for adapted messages for both key audiences: families with (young) children, and fun seeking kids and young adults (from 14 to 25 years old).

On the new tailor-made website kondaa.walibi.be, sensation seekers and families are invited to witness the arrival of an exciting giant creature in the Exotic World of the theme park: the legendary Kondaa is alive!

High as a mountain, long as a river, and faster than lightning

This magnificent beast is captured and presented to the world in a video series with 4 episodes. 2 of the clips combining images of the park with carefully crafted animation and interviews are already visible online. The story continues with 2 extra chapters, that will be released in the following weeks on the Kondaa website. The whole production, including the sound design, was produced by Emakina’s motion experts.

Emakina also produced the assets for the two target audiences, and created the radio commercials in support of the Kondaa campaign. You can feel the excitement and sense the thrills in these radio spots, with the talent sound design of Emakina's expert studio team.
